Meet Daisy & Molly, our latest shop girls!

These beautiful dolls are Handmade in Penkhull, Stoke on Trent by Tasmyn Stonehewer using new and vintage fabrics.

Each doll is unique and has their own gorgeous charm.

Dolls can also be made to order upon request.
Perhaps you'd like to give one as a gift that looks like that person or their child.
Or they can be made using a favourite fabric or dress that your daughter has now outgrown?!

 Prices vary on the amount of work involved, but these beauties are £28 each, No air miles involved and supporting local business and handcrafted skills.

Which is your favourite? I like Daisy as she has a cheeky look in her eye,
but I think that they're both fantastic, and we hope that you do too!

We're having a stall at the 'Green Fayre' in Hartshill this Saturday!
It's on from ten til two at the Medical Institiute in Hartshill and the theme is Green issues and sustainability.
There will be lots of stallholders and businesses there.
Plants and flowers to buy, and of course items off our stall!
Lots of stallholders will be discussing reducing waste and recycling and making good existing items wherever possible.
As we love vintage and old furniture we think we'll fit right in!

We have a limited number of Vintage Deckchairs just in at Alcove.
We put them outside the shop on Sunday morning and we sold two straight away, and here is one of them in their new home in our customer's garden.
Perfect for enjoying the Sunday Papers in style!

We've painted some pine chairs to match the base of a large round table we have in. They're painted in an eggshell Farrow & Ball paint, it's a very pale sage called 'Mizzle' .
We're loyal to Farrow &Ball, we just love the way the colours vary in different lights, they appear lighter or darker, different tones appear, but they always look beautiful. We've chosen an eggshell finish to ensure the chairs are hard wearing. They can be scrubbed clean after your little darlings have spilt food on them or added a little wax crayon! Although the paint is wipeable it is not shiny like other eggshell paints, its a really lovely finish. We also have some pine chairs painted in Annie Sloan Chalk paint 'original' which is a chalky matt white finish that's very popular right now. We can paint chairs and table legs in any shade and finish of your choosing on request
