We've got a bit of a thing for vintage lighting at the moment at Alcove.
We've recently sourced this vintage Anglepoise, and there are others to follow in various colours.
We found it hard to part with this lovely orangey red one though, but it looks smashing in the shop.

Whenever I'm in the shop, I can't help but be struck by how lovely the folk of Hartshill are.  Such genuinely nice people come in to browse, for a chat, or even to buy (!) and it's a real pleasure.

I'm really pleased that we chose Hartshill to start our little shop, and equally pleased that the locals have taken us on board and embraced our concept.

Perhaps it's that the majority of locals have period houses, like us, so they like the period and ecclectic mix of furniture that we sell.  Or perhaps its just something in the water, either way, Thankyou for making us so welcome and our shop busy!

We've changed our window display today and it's looking good!
It's been so lovely to have some sunshine into the shop for once, it's been a long time coming and we're making the most of it with our sunny display! Hope you like it!
