Here are a selection of the Alcove cupboards that we've fitted in December. 

Each one is completely different depending on the customer's space, décor and needs.  We can a fit a bespoke alcove cupboard above a piece of your existing furniture, or build a cupboard below for you.

Here are some photos of the latest Alcove cupboard we have designed and fitted.

The brief was that our customer just couldn't find a suitable piece of furniture to fit her living room alcove in her 19th Century Cottage.

She had a clear idea of the colours, tones and materials that she required and she is really happy with the finished product!

We utilised late Victorian Cupboard doors to give a period finish so this  alcove cupboard doesn't look out of place in her period cottage.  These doors were originally lifeless, we sanded and multiple waxed them and this is their natural restored colour.  We love to use authentic doors as their look just can't be copied, but of course this is also eco - friendly, which we love!

We used new pine for the shelves and painted the cornicing and architrave in Farrow & Ball Eggshell 'Pitch Black' to the customer's specification.  She also chose the wood colour too.

We look forward to getting a final photo of the alcove cupboard dressed with the customer's interior features when we return to remove, strip and replace her interior doors and add a new brick hearth to her fireplace.

One of the beauties of bespoke carpentry is that it suits your needs perfectly. 
We had a little nook next to the stairs to the attic that was just used as a junk under-stairs cupboard and didn't look that great.  We also had a lot of books spilling over the alcove cupboards downstairs, so Gary built a bookcase in this little space in our hallway. 
I couldn't picture how it would look, but Gary always knew what he had in mind and tailored it exactly to suit what we need ( and we still have the huge stashing cupboard behind this bookcase - winner!)

Bespoke carpentry isn't necessarily as expensive as you might think.  Perhaps we could build the cupboard and you can paint it yourself? ( I painted this one but I'll leave it to Gary in the future, I don't think Painting is my strong point...!)
